About Jen

Jen Hinwood learned to embroider at her grandmother’s elbow when she was only 8-years-old. Those lessons began a lifelong love of sewing and handwork. It was only in 2001, while watching the Twin Towers burn as she hand-quilted her first grandbaby’s quilt, that she zeroed in on quilting as her passion. Jen publishes her original patterns through BunnyChow Designs and is a popular teacher of a variety of techniques in venues at home and abroad.

Jen's longarm machine quilting was first recognized in 2004 when she won the Novice Category at the Home Machine Quilting Show, an internationally acclaimed annual event in Salt Lake City, Utah. Jen still attends classes and workshops in order to “stay current with what’s happening in the quilt world” but would much rather be in the trenches teaching quilters how to achieve their vision.
